Searching for Great Apes in NL

Hello everyone,

My new video on bigfoot sightings in NL is now up. Though I appreciate all of your requests that I do a special on bigfoot, I do think you should know that in my research I was unable to find any substantial proof of great ape sightings in the province. I know there's not much I'm skeptical of, but bigfoot swimming across the Atlantic feels like a bit of a stretch, doesn't it?

On the Exclusion of Bigfoot:

I have recently been overwhelmed by questions about my decision to exclude Bigfoot from the history section, and so I thought I should make a post to explain my stance to you all. I believe there is absolutely a possibility, if not a reasonable likelihood, that members of the Gigantopithecus species exist in North America today. However, there have been very few reports of actual sightings of such a creature in Newfoundland or Labrador. You are welcome to share any you have which I may be unaware of - but without them, it seems like a leap for a creature so large to exist in a province of this size without ever being seen? I respect and admire the work of many Bigfoot focused cryptozoologists on the mainland, but this site is specifically for the proof of supernatural creatures in Newfoundland and Labrador. Even now, it is a daunting and possibly impossible task to try to document every supernatural phenomena to ever be observed in this province - to scale up and attempt to cover the whole country would be an impossible goal, and require a lot more people. Therefore, Bigfoot will not be going on this site, lest it open the floodgates to documenting every ghost or floating light on this side of the globe!

THE SHARPE EYE:

Hello everyone and welcome to The Sharpe Eye, 

I've had a life long interest in the supernatural, and when covid started, I decided it was finally time to put all of my musings together after a few years of poking around the subject, and so I've created this blog. The purpose of The Sharpe Eye is to find undeniable proof of the existence of the paranormal in Newfoundland and Labrador. I've posted many of the myths and legends I'm already familiar with in the History section, but if you notice something I've missed, shoot me an email and I'll look into it. 

This is a site for serious consideration of the things we don't know, and for sharing the things that we have seen with our own eyes that no one else believes. If you are a skeptic, very well - I hope you find this site informative. But I will not take ridicule. This is a space for people who choose to believe.
