found this super creepy section of the basement in the building I'm working in this week. apparently it used to be a department store back in the day so its got all these shadowy corridors. I'm not sure how far they go yet, since I've only been exploring them on my breaks. some of them have branches leading to locked doors, but others just cut off?? figured this was the best one though because its got these weird stairs and i'm pretty sure it leads out to the street? sometimes walking around down there I've heard footsteps, but I've never seen anyone else down there. maybe another ghost of downtown St. John's?

@aerialarts What area of town are you in?

@serialpickler can't give you the address 'cause my boss wouldn't want people poking around down there, but I can say it's in the broader downtown area. figure there are a few older buildings like it still standing in the area.

@aerialarts I think I've actually been down there before - the guy I was with told me they used to keep the flakes down there to dry the fish coming in from the harbour so they could sell it to local merchants. Apparently it was a big chain, they named a park out there after it.

@fable1992 Told my mom about this, and she recognized the name. Used to be a hot spot downtown.

@fable1992 According to an article I found, the building is like 200 years old. Probably more than one ghost kicking around in there by now.
