Is my dog trying to kill me?

Okay, title’s a bit misleading admittedly but for the past few weeks my dog has been barking at the woods in the backyard through the window and every time I go outside to check I always get hurt somehow. At first it was just getting scratched a bit or tripping over some roots that I don’t remember being there, but last night I twisted my ankle pretty bad. And I never find anything out there, I can’t figure out what she’s barking at, but there’s no way it’s something different every time. I don’t know what it is or why it keeps coming back here. Am I the only one who’s had this happen to them? Does anyone know why this is going on?
